Spread directly around the plant and water. For best results, incorporate into the soil. Reapply every three months during the growing season. For potting mix and potted plants: Apply to top of soil and water. Reapply every 4-6 months. For compost tea: (liquid plant food): Add to 5gallons of chlorine-free water, aerate overnight. Water plants with liquid. Evenly spread over the soil. For compost pile: Spread between each new layer of material to be composted. Reapply every 2-3 months.
